Brisbane headshots have been photographing performers and actors for over 20 years. it all started with a busy portrait Studio in Central London photographing actors headshots for Spotlight and castings, We later returned to Australia to establish a unique one stop studio called Brisbane Headshots in the late 90’s.
Our approach to your photography is always interesting, fun and a collaboration. From your first contact we chat with you to get a total understanding of just what you like and what’s going to work well. If your new to the industry or would like some guidance in the whole process.. it’s okay! that’s were our experience and professionalism comes in handy. The studios head photographer comes from a family of actors who have starred on Broadway, the West End and in some iconic Hollywood movies.
With a team of dedicated and highly talented makeup artists and hairdressers in house. We can offer a complete service for anyone looking for a single standout headshot right through to a laser targeted portfolio that gives you an unfair advantage by creating stills that have a filmic feel. We call this “Getting a foot in the door” and interestingly we are beginning to see it more and more from some of the best photographers in the LA, London and now here in Australia. The idea being casting directors, industry decision makers and marketing savvy people see your shots and can easily visualise you in a part due to the story the image creates and it can often resemble a movie still. We can even top it off with a film LUT which is a cinematic filter used in post production to give a more filmic look to 1 or 2 of your images just like in the movies!
Part of why we enjoy shooting actors, performers and creatives is the energy and vibe they bring to a session. We love the whole process of collaboration, being sent mood boards and screenshots of images that our clients love We then analyse, replicate and modify the look to create an even better result than their samples. For us the payoffs are in the Wow’s we hear showing you your images!
During the shoot advice is given about clothing choices by our resident fashionistas. Our super friendly photographers will provide you with comfortable direction during the shoot, exploring expressions, poses and angles then refining and capturing the best images. Which are usually delivered to you as a shortlist on the same day to choose your favourites from.
